Import a PDF into Paprika

Three steps from a text-based recipe PDF to a dish in your Paprika library. The download is a .paprikarecipes file. Photos are not converted yet.

  1. Step 1

    Save the recipe as a text PDF

    Print a blog recipe to PDF, or export a cookbook page that still has selectable text. A photo of a page is not converted yet.

  2. Step 2

    Convert it here

    Drop the PDF on the home page. Size, real page count, and the daily limit are checked first. A successful conversion downloads a .paprikarecipes file.

  3. Step 3

    Import into Paprika

    Mac: File → Import…. iPhone or iPad: open the file from Files and choose Paprika. Android: open the file and select Paprika.

Where Import lives

  • Mac: open Paprika, choose File → Import…, and select the .paprikarecipes file.
  • iPhone or iPad: open the file in Files and choose Paprika, or send it with the share sheet.
  • Android: open the file and select Paprika.
